I was just watching a movie. The line delivered by the (well-paid) leading man, "war never solves anything, history teaches us that."

okay, so Hitler took over the world. He must have as we all chose not to fight him, thus we are all Nazi's living under the Third Reich.

In the USA, the Southern States seceded abot 150 years ago and slavery must still be commonplace.

Persia conquered the Hellenic City-States, because Leonidas chose not to fight.

Saddam Hussien rules both Iraq and Kuwait, as well as What used to be Saudi Arabia.

Japan rules China.

Ooops, my mistake! None of the above are true! Why?

Because fucking WAR stopped them. War solves problems all the damn time, ask a Bosnian Serb.
